Your $500 US Savings Bond will be ordered from the bank after closing and may take up to four weeks to be delivered to your new address via the US mail. This rebate is subject to the rules of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission and North Carolina General Statutes. Those regulations require that the rebate can only be paid to parties directly involved with the Offer to Purchase, that it must be disclosed to all parties in the transaction, and that it must be noted with the amount of the rebate on the Settlement Statement (Hud-1). All of these conditions must be met to comply with NC law.
